I Am Suffocating аnd Starving Without Interior Life: Stepan Veselovskiy’s Ethical Principles While in Inner Emigration

Drawing on ego-documents and scholarly works of the outstanding historian Stepan Borisovich Veselovskiy, this article analyzes ethical principles he adhered to between 1920s 1950s, when he, though staying in USSR, lived inner emigration. Particular attention is paid concepts “academic ethics” “professional ethics”. The author studies both universal specific value orientations scholars within framework professional ethics. As applied Veselovskiy’s work while emigration, relationship ethics scholar’s epistemology traced. Academic analyzed using Robert K.
